Welcome to Becoming Eco. Becoming Eco provide services that are subject to notices, terms, and conditions as set out below.
By purchasing from this website, you agree to all the terms of Service in this agreement. Please read them carefully. Please read these conditions carefully, as they apply to all transactions between us and can only be waived or varied in writing signed by us.

www.becomingeco.au – referred to in this document also as “website”, and “site”, and covers all URLs branching from this domain.
The person agreeing to these terms- referred to in this document also as “you”, “consumer”, “customer”, “your”, and “user”.
Content- inclusive of all written information, visual information, and features of this website.

No agreement between the customer and Becoming Eco is formed until an order has been accepter and processed. You will receive an order confirmation via email as evidence of this agreement being binding. The conditions outlined in this Terms of Service agreement are valid from the date and time your email order confirmation is sent.

These Terms of Service and your use of the site are governed by the laws of Tasmania and Australia, without regard to any conflict of law provisions. The courts of general jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any and all disputes arising out of, relating to, or concerning these Terms of Service and/or the site or in which these Terms of Service and/or the site are a material fact.
The products sold through the site are intended to comply with Australian laws and regulations. If you are an international user, be advised that other countries may have laws, regulatory requirements, and product safety requirements that are different than those in Australia.

All online orders must be paid for with valid credentials at checkout. By placing an order on our site, you agree to pay us the full amount payable. Orders will not be shipped until payment has cleared. Payment options at checkout include PayPal (via linked bank accounts, PayPal credit, card payments, PayPal Payin4, and other viable PayPal payment methods), Stripe (for Applepay, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover), and Afterpay.
Orders made at events, expos and other in-person options need to be paid via Square Reader payment processing (eftpos, Visa, Mastercard and American Express), or bank transfer into the Becoming Eco Trading account.
Orders placed via individual invoice must be paid within 7 days via bank transfer into the Becoming Eco trading account, or via PayPal.
If payments are not received, or cancelled, then contact will be made via email and/or telephone to arrange an alternate payment method. If no alternate payment is made in 7 days, then Becoming Eco has the right to cancel any outstanding orders.
If the service or product has already been sent before payment has been terminated, and an alternate payment or the return of the product is not arranged within 7 days, then debt collection operations may begin. You agree to pay all costs of collection, including any legal and consulting fees and costs. Your account will also be suspended, and future orders may be cancelled without notice.
We also may require verification of information prior to the acceptance and/or shipment of any order.

Store credit is offered at our discretion and may only be used in our store for the amount agreed to. The customer will have 12 calendar months to spend the store credit within the online store or in person, using a unique discount code generated by Becoming Eco.
Store credit is non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash under any circumstances, including any partial balance remaining after redemption.

Refunds will be issued in the following circumstances:
Orders that are cancelled or partially cancelled prior to the shipment of goods will be refunded for the full value of the products being cancelled.
Orders that are returned in saleable and unused condition will be refunded for the full value of the products that have been returned.
Refunds will be issued if it is deemed by the manufacturer or supplier that a product fault cannot be exchanged or repaired.
Shipping costs will be refunded if the combined order total of any pending orders with the same shipping address meet the free shipping threshold (within Australia).
Order values will be refunded if items are reported as ‘lost’ within the Australia Post network by Australia Post. Once a dispute has been raised with Australia Post and the parcel has been established as ‘lost’ or unlikely to be delivered, a refund can be issued.
In any other circumstances where a refund is deemed appropriate by us and is at our discretion.

Discount codes given via social media, email marketing, or personal communications such as SMS or private message will include a code and an expiry date. The code will need to be entered at checkout and cannot be backdated to use on previous orders. Some codes are only valid for a set number of uses, or until stocks run out, or only once per email address. If applicable, these additional conditions will be stipulated in any communications regarding the discount. If no expiry date is communicated, it is assumed there is no expiry date as long at the business is still operational.
Discount codes cannot be combined at any time, and only one code can be used per order.

Gift vouchers are single use codes and may not be exchanged for cash. Gift vouchers can be used to purchase from Becoming Eco in person at any events, expos, or displays and the code must be quoted before the payment process begins. Gift vouchers cannot be backdated or applied to prior orders. Gift vouchers are applied to your order total, including any shipping costs, applicable fees, and taxes where relevant.
If the Gift Voucher is obtained in hard copy, it will contain the details on the voucher. This includes the amount of money the gift voucher is worth in AUD, the code to use at checkout, and an expiry date.
If the gift voucher is purchased via the Becoming Eco website, the details pertaining to the voucher will be sent to the customer via email, or to the gift recipient if this option is chosen during the purchase of the gift voucher.
Gift vouchers cannot be refunded if partially used. They can be cancelled and refunded in full at the purchasers request if they are unused. Gift vouchers can be used on multiple occasions if your order total is less than the value of the voucher. Gift vouchers cannot be used to purchase subscription products.

Standard and Express shipping via Australia Post is available at checkout. Shipping rates are calculated by weight and charged at cost. This price is dictated by Australia Post and is subject to review. Becoming Eco also ships internationally with Australia Post, and rates are also charged at cost.
Becoming Eco aim to have all orders finalised within one business day of your order being placed. The local post office only accepts parcels before midday, so orders received in the afternoon will be shipped the following morning (on business days). When orders are finalised, the customer will receive an email stating the Australia Post tracking number.
Orders subtotals (prior to shipping costs) over $120 in value will receive free Australia Post Standard Shipping. Only addresses within Australia qualify for free shipping.
All parcels will be shipped to the shipping address entered at checkout, unless an alternative address is confirmed by the customer in writing prior to the parcel being sent.
Becoming Eco offer local pickup from Zeehan on the West Coast of Tasmania. Select ‘Local Pickup’ as your shipping option at checkout. We will contact you to arrange a convenient time and provide the collection address. If you change your mind, or fail to respond within 48hrs, you will be invoiced for shipping and your parcel will be sent to the shipping address provided at checkout.
All delivery timeframes and postage services are at the sole discretion of Australia Post. Becoming Eco cannot be held legally responsible for any damages or losses that occur during the shipping of orders. Becoming Eco takes reasonable care when packaging items to ensure they are likely to arrive safely to the consumer.

Circumstances beyond our control, such as strikes, natural disasters, technical issues, supply chain issues, or injury or illness may cause delays in processing orders. If circumstances we cannot control affect our ability to finalise your order, we are released from any obligation to ship your order while those circumstances continue. We may choose to cancel your order, or otherwise to complete your order once things have returned to normal. If we expect a major delay, you will be contacted via email and/or phone to discuss a suitable solution.

Product availability on our site is not guaranteed as it may be low in stock. If a product is not available by the time your order processes, we will notify you of this via e-mail. You will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail once your items have shipped.

Becoming Eco makes every effort to keep all content and information on this website accurate, however we disclaim any warranty or representation, expressed or implied, about the materials used and/or the accuracy and completeness of any information, or appropriateness of a product or information for a particular purpose. By using this website, you assume full responsibility for using the information available on this website, and you understand and agree that neither Becoming Eco or its suppliers is responsible for any claim for losses, damages, costs, or expenses resulting from the content supplied on this website.
Becoming Eco is based in Australia, and therefore we make no promise about the information provided being accurate or appropriate for use in countries other than Australia. If you choose to access the website from outside Australia, you are solely responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations.

By purchasing on the site or otherwise creating an account on the site, you understand that we may send you communications or data regarding our products and services. You agree to receive such communications from us.
Unless such email is necessary to facilitate a transaction, such as to complete a sale or provide you with information related to a purchase, we will give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving these commercial emails from us by following the opt-out instructions provided in such message(s). Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding special offers, improvements, or other updates.
You also agree that all notices, disclosures, agreements, and other communications that we provide to you by email satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. Your consent to receive communications and do business by email, and our agreement to do so, applies to all your interactions and transactions with Becoming Eco.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you are an Australian consumer for the purposes of the ACL, you are entitled to replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms excludes any right, guarantee or warranty you’re entitled to by law, however we do exclude all other guarantees, conditions and warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. We also specifically exclude liability for negligence.
Wherever possible, our liability for breach of any condition, warranty or guarantee is limited, at our option, to:
Replacement of the product;
Repair of the product;
Payment of the cost of having the product repaired; or
Such other fair and reasonable remedy as we are ready and willing to provide.
We won’t be liable for any consequential loss or damage or other direct or indirect loss or damage, except where we are unable to limit or exclude such loss under the ACL.
If for any reason the ACL doesn’t apply to an order you place with us (for example, if you purchase the product for re-sale with our authorisation or if you are purchasing from outside Australia), then we exclude all liability to you and we’ll only refund an order placed if we can’t fill it, if we think it’s reasonable to do so, or otherwise as agreed in writing.

Unless otherwise noted, the design of the site, including information, data, text, photographs, videos, audio clips, written posts, articles, comments, software, scripts, graphics, and interactive features that are part of the site (collectively, “Content”) are copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual properties owned, controlled, or licensed by us. The content is intended solely for your personal and non-commercial use. No right, title, or interest in any content is granted or transferred to you due to your use of the site.
Certain parts of the site that allow you to share content on social media platforms grant you a limited license to display the content as directed, and you understand that you have no other right, title, or interest in or to the content.
Except as noted above, you may not reproduce, publish, transmit, distribute, display, modify, sell, or participate in any sale of any of the content on our site. Your misuse of the content may subject you to liability or legal repercussions with any relevant laws.

Considering the high cost of legal dispute, not only in dollars but also in time and energy, both you and Becoming Eco agree to the following dispute resolution procedure:
In the event of any controversy, claim, action, or dispute, the party asserting the dispute shall first try to settle such dispute by providing written notice to the other party describing the facts and circumstances (including any relevant documentation) of the dispute. The receiving party is allowed 30 business days from the date of mailing to respond to the dispute.
Unless you indicate otherwise in your notice, Becoming Eco shall respond to your notice using your last-used billing address or the billing and/or shipping address in your online profile. If parties are unable to resolve the dispute, it should be processed in accordance with the Jurisdiction section of the Terms.

We reserve the right, without prior notice, to limit the order quantity on any product and/or to refuse service to any customer. In the event we make a change to or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.
If the agreement that is created between us under these Terms of Service is ended, it will not affect our right to receive any money which you owe us under these Terms.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without notice. We encourage you to review the Terms whenever you use or access the Site.
We may modify these Terms of Service occasionally to reflect changes in market conditions affecting our business, changes in our business, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements, and changes to our systems and technology.
Modifications to these Terms of Service will be effective from the date of the updated terms being posted on the website. By purchasing from the site after the effective date of any modifications to Terms and Conditions, you agree to be bound by the modified terms.
