Cheeky Wipes Washing Instructions

    • BEFORE USE: We recommend giving them one wash before use. Please take note to wash dark coloured wipes with dark items, and light-coloured wipes with other light items to prevent any possible colour transfer. The wipes may shrink a little when first washed, but this is completely normal and won't affect the wipes performance.

    • For 25 wipes, fill your ‘Fresh Wipes’ container to the top fill level with cold water and add 3 – 4 drops of the ‘Fresh Wipes’ essential oil blend. Then pop your lovely soft cloth baby wipes into the ‘Fresh Wipes’ container, make sure they are nice and moist and hey presto they’re ready to use!

    • Next, prepare your ‘Mucky Wipes’ container with cold water to the top fill level and add 3 – 4 drops of the ‘Mucky Wipes’ essential oil blend to keep those mucky baby wipes sweet.

    • Using warm water means your soaking solution needs changing more frequently as it can encourage mould.

    • Use the wipes for cleaning bums, faces, hands, whatever needs cleaning!

    • Lift up baby's legs and do the first wipe with the front of the disposable/cloth nappy (as you normally would). This gets rid of the 'bulk' of the poo.

    • Use a natural cloth Cheeky Baby Wipe to gently wipe away any remaining smeary bits.

    1. Drop your dirty baby wipe into the mesh bag inside your ‘Mucky Wipes’ container, or out and about bag (wet bag).

    2. With your next wash load, pick up the mesh bag, loosen the drawstrings at the top (hurrah, no poo contact there) and chuck it into the washer. 20 – 70 degree wash is fine!

    3. A specialist washing product isn't necessary, cold or warm washing and drying your wipes in the sun (or warm dryer if necessary) will keep them hygienic. Drying the wipes in a dryer will most likely cause them to shrink a little.

    4. The wipes can be immediately re-used but drying between washes will prevent mould and mildew, plus sunlight is nature's natural bleach!

    5. Laundry products like Napisan (boosters) can be used on the wipes; however the sun is a great natural way of removing any stains (parents using cloth nappies will know of the ability of the sun to remove stains from cloth nappies, wipes etc). Staining is also less obvious on coloured wipes.

    • Fresh and Mucky wipes containers are NOT dishwasher safe. We recommend cleaning the Fresh and Mucky Containers with warm, soapy water (simply use dishwashing liquid).

    • Once the washer has finished, pull out your clean and fragrant wipes (thanks to the special antibacterial essential oil)!

    • Your wipes will stay fresh in the solution for up to three days, however we recommend washing and refreshing the solution on alternate days (particularly in the warmer weather).

    • We recommend that the water and essential oil solution in the containers is changed on alternate days to keep your wipes fragrant.

    • Midwives recommend that you use just plain water for the first 6 weeks of your baby’s life.
